2. ScheduleGet started today. Ship your car by clicking “Schedule Shipping”, and then complete the subsequent steps. If your vehicle is not ready yet, simply select the date it will be available. Once completed, we will process your information and notify you once we have your vehicle scheduled for transport with a qualified auto carrier.
The carrier will call the pickup contact in advance to arrange for pickup. Upon arrival, the carrier will inspect the vehicle for pre-existing scratches, dings and any other type of damage while recording it on the bill of lading (BOL). The BOL is a type of receipt the carrier uses to record any damage that may exist before transport as well as any damage that may occur during transport. It is also a legal document used by insurance companies in case a claim needs filing. (See Sample BOL)
Just as with pickup, the carrier will call the delivery contact in advance to arrange for delivery. The delivery contact should inspect the vehicle’s condition to make sure there are no discrepancies between the BOL provided at pickup and condition of the car at delivery. It is rare, but if any new scratches, dings or other damage is present, mark it on the BOL before signing and get a copy. We recommend taking pictures as well. You should then contact us so we can advise further.
